Blisters Hiking

Living on the south coast, we don't have the landscape of Cumbria or Scotland but we do have sweeping rolling hills, rugged cliff top walks and the beautiful Garden of England.

One of my favourite walks has to be in the Hastings Country Park. Although sometimes steep, the path is very easy to follow as it runs along the cliffs from Fairlight Coastguard Station to Hastings Old Town.

Another leg-stretcher is a delightful hike starting near the Beachy Head Coastguard Station. Head inland toward Jevington, across to Westden through the Friston Forest, down the Cuckmere to the Haven and finally, along the Seven Sisters to the start. Not for beginners!

Although I like the healthy aspect of walking, the main reason for me, is to explore. Whether it be discovering an amazing view or picture postcard village (preferably with a pub!) that feeling of quiet satisfaction is always there.

Within Blisters Hiking I shall be sharing my walks with you and welcome any ideas or suggestions from visitors to Blue Sky.
